It's 10pm local time and we are all safe and well. We arrived in resort at 5pm after a very decent journey but the last 2 hours were gloriously covered in snow. The conditions here are heavy snow falling on large amounts of settled snow on the ground so the skiing is set to be excellent for the week.
The students have naturally been a pleasure and this was underlined by the year 11 boys joining in the singing of Frozen....beautiful voices lads!
There has been some highly intelligent chat such as "what's a ferry?" "I think it's like a big boat with layers".
All the students have their ski equipment ready for the morning and they've had a four course meal. Most of them have now gone to bed to get their beauty sleep before 5 hours skiing tomorrow.
